Connie Hunter is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal who has worked for DeVore, Acton & Stafford, P.A. for 18 years. She primarily works with Attorney Fred DeVore. Prior to working with our firm, she worked in the litigation field for an additional five years. During her tenure, Connie has been involved in various types of complex litigation matters from personal injury and wrongful death to synthetic stucco litigation and other construction litigation matters. Della Stafford attended College of Charleston and Queens College. She earned her paralegal certificate at Trident Technical College. She has worked as a paralegal since 1988. Della has worked in the medical malpractice field since 1990. She spent five years working for a firm that defended health care providers. Therefore, she has the advantage of having been on both sides of cases. Della also has medical training due to a pre-med/dental background in college. She is very familiar with medical records from the local hospitals and is able to read, comprehend and decipher them. She has vast experience hiring and working with expert witnesses and has participated in over 50 medical malpractice trials in the State of North Carolina while working for both plaintiffs and defendants. Renee Robinson Busbee is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal who has more than 14 years of civil litigation experience. Since 1991, Renee has served as attorney Fred W. DeVore, III's legal assistant. Renee has an accounting degree from King's College and her experience prior to joining the firm of DeVore, Acton and Stafford, PA, include serving as a legal administrator, loan officer and president of a commercial construction company. Renee's primary areas of practice are: personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith claims, contract litigation and land condemnation. Susie Baker is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal with 15 years of experience in civil litigation since joining the firm in 1995. Ms. Baker attended Central Piedmont's Legal Secretary and Paralegal programs prior to employment with DeVore Acton & Stafford, PA. She works directly with Fred DeVore and Derek Adler. Ms. Baker's primary fields include contract disputes, construction litigation, wrongful death, bad faith claims, stucco claims, small estate matters, and personal injury. Lisa Morris has been a practicing paralegal for the past 9 years. Prior to earning her degree, she worked as a Medicare patient advocate and then after graduating as a paralegal in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, estates and real estate. She has recently joined the practice and is pleased to be working as paralegal to William D. Jennifer Pearson is the receptionist for DeVore, Acton, & Stafford, PA who has worked for them for three years. She has had several years experience with customer service and client interaction.
